hello new space!

So i've been busy trying to reorganize my workspace again. I've built a wall of new shelves with these cute little bricks and 8' wooden planks (placed on top of bookcases)! It's still all kind of messy but at least there is space in the middle of the room to breathe and stretch out.

I don't really know where to pick up right now. am not able to write about the promise spoons or continue with things i had in mind to do. want a nice old bike to ride around and enjoy these last few days of summer. this morning was freezing. looking forward to some hot sun tomorrow and pretend i am heading out to the beach.

Great start with your shelves though.

  2. Room to breathe and stretch out sounds great, whether in your workspace or down at the beach. Hope you catch the sun (it's been missing around here too, have been mourning the no-show of summer all of August). Deep slow breaths and the ideas will come, they're slumbering in the back of your head, waiting to be released.

  3. It must the feel of a new season around the corner. I am in the middle of trying - I stress the word trying - to reorganize MY workspace. I feel the need to have things "ready to go" come September. Must be the school years of my childhood still embedded in my system. Congratulations on getting it done - time for a last minute breather.

  7. Oh, that bricks and board ideal: I've dreamed it for years, and here you are realizing it!

The head of MIT Linguistics has an old woman's bike for sale, if you feel like stopping by some time. Could take public transportation all the way, you know. If you like, I can nab it for you when I head down there on Monday.

Oh, shelvage! What a joy for tidy little rodents, as we say in my family. Now to refresh in the nice clean space reclaimed!

  10. Hello Redred--

i love your bookshelves, and all the stuff in it, I might have to come over and make a mess though--its too neat. :)

You keep asking about Plastic, something I am working on, and it must be a misunderstanding--I may have said I have a thing, meaning troubled feelings towards plastic but I am "working on it" as in not letting myself hate it. A sculptor friend has tried to show me ALL the amazing things made of this material, but I think it poisons the enviornment; maybe I should try to say that in some way. :)

Red power to you. It is cool here, we have tornado warnings till 2 am.
