i miss you studio

i used to wake up to this every morning at our old apartment

It's strange to be in such a prettier place now yet still be missing some misshapen things from before. :/. This was the living room turned into my studio:

Note: wig collection hung on wall (i didn't make them) inspired by Marjojo's My Mother Has Golden Hair

and you guys remember my awesome shelves built from just bricks and wooden planks?

unfinished bits and pieces on worktable

These photos were taken by John, a few days before moving out of there to our new house. Still in the midst of unpacking and getting the studio space set up...

  1. :-( It is unsettling to move house... having done it twice in the last few years I can sympathise!

Your old studio looked so lovely, but I'm sure your new one will be just as fabulous once you get settled into it.

  3. Hello Red! I smile so smile... i love those shelves; i too just moved and sympathize. Though i love my new house i miss some things already; the little crazy clutter of me... its too blank yet... have been loving it and also tired, too.

its hard to move; but good!

hot... was just thinking how it was so cold last year ... time flies.

  6. Your old studio looks so lived in/worked in, and of course that's exactly right. You made some gorgeous work there - of course you're mourning it! But know: your creativity will transfer to the new space and in no time at all it will feel lived in too, and new and old projects will thrive. Can't wait to see what you'll make there first.

  14. It must be hard for you to move, and do what you love in a new studio. I know exactly how you feel. Leaving places you love is deeply depressing. Well, it’s been years Miss Mien. I hope you have already recovered. A lot can happen in three years. I hope you have beautiful memories in your stay in your new house and of course, in your studio. Smile.
