pear 1.1 vintage blue

oil and string on masonite board, 19.75" x 19.2" x 1.75" [work in progress]
(1.75" is board [frame] thickness from wall)

Recently worked on an old painting that I have cut up and painted over. This is my favorite blue at the moment. I am loving the string "drawing" of the three loops hanging on the vertical line:

Really excited about it but it's also making me a bit tentative to continue for fear of "ruining" it...

  1. LOVE this piece. Just found your blog via your comment on Spectroscope.

  2. This is really nice! I bet Antny loves this blue color, too. (I'll link him now.)

  3. It's fun to see the connection with the wire wrapping that you started doing afterwards,
kind of a preperatory painting to prepare for your sketches instead of the other way around.

  4. hmmm...was it backwards? well, the first couple wire stuff was before this painting. but everything is all kind of messed up right now, so i don't know either. to be continued, i guess.
