I saw them laying on your work table in the last post....in the middle of your creative...mmh...chaos(?)... How comes that you always manage to produce something so calming and silent to meditate about. I don't know why but "heartbreaking" is the right word and I'm sighing here!!
they literally changed my breathing. the white and the way they nestle in, the awkward mouth openings, the touch--you are red and they are white but very RED with power. Silent.
your art inspired me to start thinking about how much spoons impact my life. i have gained a fuller appreciation for the curvy tool, for allowing me to constantly shovel cereals and other yumminess into my mouth!
Your work ALWAYS touches me. These strange white spoon-objects scoop at my heart. As so often with your work they make me think about silence (the white colour/non colour holds that), about speaking (or not), about words withheld. Amazingly there is singing too, singing one's own song, but also joining in with the chorus of voices around. Scooping out nourishment and nurture from a never empty pot, sharing. The promise of communion. That lovely squiggly wire detail on one, the slit in another and that faint vein-blue line... - how I would like to touch them, and maybe sniff them too, to get a fuller sense of them yet.
judging your site i would say you are beautiful with just as beautiful artwork
ReplyDeleteThey literally take my breath away. They are heartbreakingly beautiful mien. The blue thread is a poignant touch...
